The 6803-2RS bearing is commonly used in motorcycle/bicycle wheel hubs as well as in light construction and agricultural applications.
The 2RS suffix means contact seals on both faces. These keep grease in and dirt and moisture out, which is what you want anywhere the bearing is exposed rather than sitting inside a sealed housing. It’s the reason 2RS is the usual choice over a ZZ metal-shielded version outdoors or in dusty conditions. The bearing arrives greased and sealed for life — no packing or servicing needed before fitting.
You may see this bearing listed as 6803 2RS, 6803RS, 6803-RS or 6803 2RS1 depending on the brand. They all describe the same 17x26x5mm rubber-sealed bearing.
